New Cable Car in Åndalsnes

Now it is easier to get a beautiful view ...

Construction of a new cable car up to Nesaksla, a steep mountain over Åndalsnes, is open to take its passengers up. Fjord station got a very good strategic location in the city centre, between the railway station, the bus terminal, Tindesenter and the port.

The mountain station and Eggen restaurant at the top are built at an altitude of 708 meters above the sea level. You can book a table here.

The cable car brings new experience and opportunities for all, also for those who are not able to or do not feel like walking up the trail.

There are several hikes that you can combine with the cable car. You may want to experience the most popular Romsdalseggen ridge hike that starts in Vengedalen (Isfjorden) and takes you over to Nesaksla - the cable car top station. You can take a refreshment in the restaurant while you enjoy the magnificent view, and use the lift down to Åndalsnes.

Rampestreken, a favorite hike destination, is about 20 minutes down from the cable mountain´s station.
