There are several hikes that you can combine with the cable car. You may want to experience the most popular Romsdalseggen ridge hike that starts in Vengedalen (Isfjorden) and takes you over the ridge to Nesaksla - the cable car top station. You can take a refreshment in the restaurant while you enjoy the magnificent view, and use the lift down to Åndalsnes. 

Rampestreken, a favorite hike destination, is about 20 minutes down from the cable mountain´s station.
